What we are doing as a church
Seeking Jesus.
No matter how long we’ve known Jesus, we still seek him—striving to better know him and his comforting promises.
We seek a richer connection to Jesus in his Word, through his holy Supper, and through prayer. And the wonder is this: as we seek him, he seeks us. He takes hold of us. He fills our hearts with his Spirit. And he guides our daily lives.
Sharing His Love.
We invest in the lives of others by taking the love that Jesus shows us and passing that love along.
We do this through our words and acts of service—not just with our families, friends, and fellow believers, but with our local community and the world at large.
Building Community.
As we seek Jesus and share his love, we grow closer as a community that invites others to do the same.
In getting to know one another, sharing our lives and faith-journeys, and supporting each other, we gain an amazing community that gives us an incredible sense of belonging.
But we don’t want to limit our community to the sanctuary; we want to continue our mission in the neighborhood, in the greater Twin Cities, and in the world.

Jesus.
Everything we do at Mount Olive is about Jesus. In our brokenness, he gives us purpose and transformation through his love. As a community, we continually seek to know him and his comforting promises better.

God's Word.
Everything we do at Mount Olive is based on the Word of God. We completely rely on and find confidence in its truth. It is the ultimate authority in our decision-making and the ultimate source of comfort and direction at all times.

Honest Faith Journeys.
Everything we do at Mount Olive bolsters honest faith journeys. Faith is a journey of continually seeking and knowing Jesus. Because we know we are all at a different place in that walk, we humbly strive to be genuine, to continually invite honest dialogue, to build relationships and community, and to create a welcoming and encouraging environment for all.

Transformed Lives.
Everything we do at Mount Olive encourages and supports a transformed life. The gospel changes us, giving us a new identity and purpose for our lives. As followers of Jesus, and through the power of his Spirit, we continually grow in our knowledge and relationship with him, always shifting our approach to living in order to bring him glory.

Outward Focus.
Everything we do at Mount Olive focuses outward in love. A major component of the gospel-transformed life is a selfless, outward-facing love for others. Jesus-followers are an engaged, active, and generous community who love and serve God and others because of his great love for them.
